Android studio tutorial for beginners | Getting started with Android studio





Do you want to publish your app on the Google play store and start earning money? Nowadays, everybody wishes to have their own app so that they become atmanirbhar (self-dependent).

Android studio is one of the most used integrated development environment for the development of android applications. It is very easy to use and requires very little coding. It has made app development very easy, reliable, and fast for developers.

This blog follows all the required steps from installation of android studio to getting started with it. The size of the studio is large, it approximately requires 2 GB of data to get installed completely in your system.

System requirements

Windows - 7/8/10

RAM - 4GB(minimum), 8GB(recommended)

Disk space - 2GB(minimum), 4GB(recommended)


How to install android studio on your system? 

1. Search Android studio download in GoogleClick on the first link which appears on the search results.




2. After clicking on the first link, this screen will appear, hit on download android studio.




3. Accept the TnCs and hit on download android studio for windows.



Now that the .exe file for the android studio will start getting downloaded on your system.

After the downloading is completed, you can start installing android studio on your system by opening the downloaded file.




Hit on Next  -> Next -> Select location to install it -> Next -> Install

It will start installing Android studio on your system.

Once it got installed, launch Android studio. It will look like this.




You will not get any projects on the left side as you have just started using it. I have made some projects before that's why I am getting them here. Once you will make a project, it will start appearing here for you as well.

Now, you are all set to start developing your first android application on your own system. 


How to make my first app on Android Studio?

Click on Start a new Android Studio project

 


After that, you need to select the template for your application. If you don't know or you haven't thought of the template, under Phone and Tablet, you can select empty activity as of now. It will not create any problem, you can create whatever you want from your application. Hit Next.




Name your application, and leave everything else as default. Hit on Finish. It will take some seconds to load your project. 

Now you are good to go for the development of your application. All the best.
