Hang rapists no matter what.

The thought of even writing this trembles me. Every day we read news about women being assaulted, abused, harassed, and raped. But our generation has lost the power of empathizing with the sufferer's pain. A pricked nail, a needle pinch, or even a minute dust particle got into the eye cause a pain. Think about someone whose tongue got slit, spine is broken, cuts in the private parts, insertion of objects into the human body, and nervous system damaged by the trauma. Oh! Sorry, they say she wasn't raped, four men secretively took her and just injured her. But actually, she wasn't the first one to be raped and after sabotaging the proofs she is not even the last one to be sexually abused, so disfiguring the postmortem report is of no use. To remind you her last words were "usne mere sath zabardasti kri thi" (she was assaulted). She confessed she was raped by two men even after that reports are morphed. These things are beyond my belief and I abhor each one of those who are supporting the delinquent someway.

I saw a video of a police officer consoling the family members by saying, "Ab aap kuch bhi kahe galti kahi na kahi apki bhi to thi" (somewhere the family of the victim was at fault). I feel disgusted by such an inhumane behavior, how can someone utter such words to a mother who lost her 19-year-old daughter. Literacy cannot help when a man loses his basic humanity. Raping a teenager because your filthy male ego refused to listen a 'No'. You cannot accept your instructions been forbidden by a Dalit.

They say casteism doesn't exist, I say it does. In our country, there is a culture of suppressing the other on the grounds of caste and creed. If she were not a Dalit, the UP police shouldn't have sabotaged the proofs. If she were not a Dalit, the UP police could not dare to cremate her body without the family's consent. Watching her mother begging in front of the police to perform the last funeral rituals just shuddered me up. She was relentlessly crying and saying "Ab to wo chali gayi akhiri baar mehendi laga k vida karne do". Her parents were not even allowed to see her face one last time in spite of begging and crawling in front of the officers. Why? This question is unanswered and will remain so.

I am filled with rage and repugnance that the judicial system of our country is so feeble that it cannot bring justice to women. I am traumatized, why does this always happen the people with more power and money tend to suppress poor people. How can someone be so cruel to do this to anyone? 

Sorry! I don't feel safe when I step out of my house. I am feeling sorry that I used to complain about my hostel timings being different from the boy's hostel. Every rule has a purpose behind it, the purpose of that rule was my own safety because no one knows when a human can do inhumane acts to stoop down to such lowliness. Day by day the count of acid attack victims, sexually assaulted women, and women being raped are increasing some survive and some rest in a better place than being here. My faith in humanity is loosing at an exponential rate, I cannot trust people easily now. 

The family of the victim is threatened by police officers to stay quiet and are trying to oppress the matter. Today we are filled with rage tomorrow we all will forget and the loop will continue. The politicians are adding fuel to the fire and playing the political propaganda card, bless you with the good sense to stop being grumpy, and with pure intentions help seek justice. I will pray justice is served.

A request to all please keep a check on your female friends, colleague, sister, or any random women around you. We need a better and safer environment to live in and survive safely. A girl is always someone's sister, mother, or daughter. I am filled with gratitude to have an acquaintance with male friends who helped me to become better and made me feel safe around them every time. Such activity can happen to anyone, whenever you are going out alone in cabs always share your ride with others, keep talking to friends on your phone. Stay alert and observe the activities of unknown people around you very wisely. If you are dubious about any activity of others just seek help immediately. Keep a check on yourself till the rules become more strict for the barbarous people committing these crimes. All I want is this country to become a better and safer place to live in one day. 

It's high time anyone should bear any suffering based on caste, creed, culture, color, or gender. Give voice to your thoughts and don't tolerate any abuse. I just used this platform so my voice reaches to a maximum of the people. Share if you agree that rapists should be hanged to death no matter what. Period!
